Birthing Current 144
Time magick has been an interest of mine for a very long time. Central to my explorations were the concepts of Kairos (pure time) and the Tesseract. Initial experiments with the tesseract had me evoking my past and future selves as a means to advance my current self in a non-linear way. My next immediate long term goal is a permanent invocation of my past and future selves in the body of my present self. More on that later perhaps - it's still a long way off.
Kairos is a term I discovered via the works of Madeline L'Engle around the time I had my first forays into magick. I understood it then to be God's time, separate from the alarm clock time that run our days. In Madeline L'Engle's works time travel is made possible through the interaction of the tesseract with kairos, and in her stories these interactions are used to fix mistakes in the past or save the future(or the present). Traveling through Kairos makes it possible to spend years of your life some place else only to return just a few scant moments after you first departed.
When you work closely with time magick, time plays tricks on you and in many ways chronological time trans-mutates into chronillogical time. A keen eye for synchronicity, and a taste for associative thought are required to interpret the various non linear experiences you encounter(both intentional and unintentional)If Kairos is God's time then symbolism is God's language and it is this way that you come to terms with a reality that plays tricks with your stop watch. From the conception in my mind of time as anything more than the intangible thing measured by the wall clock the number 144 and various permutations of it have been a constant in my life, though often years would pass before I noticed some of the most significant examples.
The birth of the bond between myself and the girl called Julia started this way:

That magical relationship was the genesis of the ma(n)gician I have become, and as the years have passed my once wide magical focus has narrowed to a focus on time manipulation, and what might be called the high magick equivalent to time magick.
Just as I was born 12 and reborn 144 it is fitting that the current I have chosen to birth should bear this number. I have had the pleasure of discovering that independent of it's personal meaning to me it has a very rich symbolism of it's own which is highly applicable to the subject at hand. From this point on nearly everything I write will in some way, most likely in very obvious ways tie into the work of this current, which I feel, for me, is as close to true will as it gets.
I am excited to share the journey with you, excited that I have even come far enough to speak of any of it in anything other than vagaries, silly as it may seem it wasn't until this very night that I noticed Kaos hidden in the word Kairos. I have come to see Kaos as the equivalent of God, and so I will in the future use them interchangeably.
The seed of Kairos has flowered but has yet to yield it's fruit.
