Tesser-action!
Nothing is true, everything is permitted. Take a moment, think about these words. What do you think they mean? Keep those words in mind as your read about magic. Magic represents an alternative, it is a tool for changing yourself and in the process changing reality. Magic will provide you with an arsenal with which to throw bombs at the future, tear a hole in the bullshit version of "reality" certain people are selling you, and at the same time provide you with a set of tools with which to build a better you, and a better reality. When you practice magic, you can go anywhere or anywhen. You can conjure demons, angels, and all other manner of spirits. You can remake yourself, and create your own reality. Nothing is beyond your reach.
How is this possible?
There is collection of secret technologies called magic. Magic is the single best way for you to take control of your life. The single best way to create real changes. Changes you might have though were impossible. This is why magic is called a technology, and not a religion. You don't need faith, you don't even need to "believe" in magic" to use it. All you need to do is try it for yourself. Do this honestly and you will get results. You do not need to spend years of study to work these technologies. Magic is real, and available to you now.
One of these technologies is called Tesser-Action. Tesser-Action, like the whole of magic itself, is an iterative process. The things you do today with your first experiments are the launching pad for the things you'll be able to do later. Make the commitment to practice magic everyday, and keep careful notes on these experiments. You'll quickly realize that these first steps, as awesome and amazing as they were at the time, were just the precursors of the amazing things you'll come to be involved with. This article will give you everything you'll need to know in order to start working with Tesser-Action. With experience, you'll be able to use this technology to tear a hole in Consensus Reality.
Perhaps you've heard the word tesseract before. Perhaps you've read the book A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle, or the books which followed it. In these stories, a group of children use the tesser-act to travel to far away galaxies and weird dimensions; even inside the human body. They use the power of the tesser-act to improve themselves and ultimately create a better reality. This is the essence of magic, and provided the inspiration of the magical technology I call Tesser-Action.
If you have never heard of a tesser-act (also known as a hypercube) before, it can be described as a four dimensional version of the standard three dimensional cube. The tesser-act is a magical construct - a cube which has two more dimensions than your standard three dimensional cube. The first three dimensions are length, height and width. The fourth dimension is time. When we discuss time as a fourth dimension, we're not talking about alarm clock chronological time, which governs our waking day. Rather we're talking about what Madeline L'engle calls kairos, pure time, which is not measured with minute hands. We are talking about chronillogical time; time fluid as water, flowing independent of chronological time. This time can be folded, manipulated, and traveled on as though it were a road. The fifth dimension describes the ability of the tesseract to travel to other dimensions, realities, and possibilities.
Tesser-action can be used for the purpose of summoning spirits, interdimensional time travel, divination, and most importantly it can be used to change yourself and consensus reality. What this article will focus on, and teach you, is how to create a tesser-act which can be used to evoke spirits and how to invoke the tesser-act in order to travel through time and space.
The tesser-act is created through a very basic, and very powerful technology called sigilization. The language of the magical consciousness and of magic is symbolism. A sigil is a symbolic representation of your goal, used in magic to aid in the manifestation of your will. The sigil itself is just a symbol, and not inherently magical. To use the sigil for magic, we have to charge and launch the sigil with gnosis. Gnosis is the lynch pin of any act of magic. It is an altered state of consciousness which allows your magical consciousness to take the driver's seat for a while. The way in which your magical consciousness perceives things is highly associative. Experienced as a shift in awareness, gnosis is a timeless state where your actions, even the action of observation, take on symbolic meanings. Through this state, magic turns a symbolic gesture into a real manifestation of your will. There are a variety of ways to reach gnosis - physical exhaustion, meditation, sex, enthogens, and meditation, to name a few.
The first sigil used to create the tesser-act is called the Necker's Cube. The Necker's cube is a picture of a three dimensional cube, made by connecting two squares with diagonal lines. Clear your mind of all thoughts, and then focus all your attention on the Necker's Cube. This simple act of single pointed focus on the cube induces a mild state of gnosis and will allow you to give your tesser-act the fourth dimensional qualities it will need to be able to travel through time. When you focus on this cube you will start to see it flip into it's mirror image, eventually it will rotate smoothly. This rotation is caused by your mind rotating the cube through the fourth dimension.
In order to create fifth dimensional aspect of the tesser-act, we will first need the sigil of a tesser-act. This is done by drawing a two dimensional diagram of a hypercube. The hypercube, as mentioned earlier, is a four dimensional cube. This sigil is created by drawing five squares, one in the center and the other four should be drawn with one overlapping one corner of the center square. Next all the squares are connected with diagonal lines. Just as clearing your mind of everything but the Necker's Cube allowed you to create the fourth dimension of the tesser-act, single pointed focus on this sigil will allow you to give the tesser-act it's fifth dimensional property.
These two sigils are combined in ritual to create a tesser-act. The Necker's sigil is used to create the first second third and fourth dimensional aspects of the tesseract. The sigil of the hypercube is used to create the fifth dimensional aspect as well as tie in all five dimensions into a cohesive five-dimensional cube. The next step before actually beginning the ritual is to decide what sort of spirit you want to evoke.
As was discussed before a sigil is a symbolic representation of desire. If you've ever looked through books which talk about evoking angels, demons or other spirits, you've probably seen how sigils are sometimes associated with entities. While you can feel free to use any of those sigils to contact a spirit, you can also create your own sigils. In fact you can use sigils to manifest anything from a demon to a date for a party. There are a variety of ways to create a sigil, one particularly effective way to create a sigil is by breaking down a statement of intent into a magical glyph. For example, lets say you want to summon a spirit to teach you about divination first start off with your statement of intent:
"Bring forth a spirit knowledgeable in divination."
Next remove all the vowels and any repeating consonants, leaving you with:
b-r-n-g-f-t-h-s-p-k-w-l-d-v
Arrange these letters in any combination, warping their shape in anyway until you end up with a glyph that looks magical to you. This glyph, or sigil can now be used to evoke a spirit knowledgeable in divination. Once you've got your sigil it's time to put all these elements together and work magic.
First, you'll want to banish the area. Banishing before your ritual readies the area you're using for magic. It is a symbolic act that not only prepares yourself for working magic, but also provides protection for the things you are about to summon. There is an element of danger with magic. After all, anything with real power can be dangerous. There is the risk of possession, and obsession which leads to madness. To banish the area focus intently on some form of protection surrounding you, it can be anything from a protective bubble to castle. The form itself isn't important, just make sure the imagery is of something that can protect you from every angle. Evocation will bring you into contact with entities that will shatter your previous ideas of reality. They will cause you to revaluate everything. For this reason it is important not to get lost in the wonderful and the sometimes terrible things that will happen before your eyes. The ultimate goal of magic is to use these experiences to cause a change in consensus reality, to do this you have to be able to take what you learn back to "reality" where it can be applied. The greatest safeguard against the pitfalls of evocation is a sense of humor. For this reason, a good laugh is the most effective banishment there is. Whenever things get too hairy, laugh hard and long remembering your place in an apparently mundane world. Once you've formed your protective barrier its time to evoke the spirit.
Place a large sigil of a hypercube on the floor.
Place the sigil of the spirit you wish to summon inside the tesser-act sigil.
Next, suspend a Necker's Cube over the sigil. The Necker's Cube should be high up enough so that you can only see it if you look up, and should not be in your line of site when looking straight ahead. Clear your mind. When you're ready, focus on the cube until it is rotating smoothly through the fourth dimension. Once this is accomplished in your mind, focus on a visualization of a cube which has contained inside of it; a cube on exactly the same size. Picture the two cubes rotating in opposite directions. Though it may be hard to visualize at first, this visualization not only activates the fifth dimensional aspect of the tesser-act, but sets it up as a container which will hold the spirit you summon. While visualizing this recite the following in a loud and commanding voice:
"I call forth the five dimensional container known as the tesser-act. Let the tesser-act be outside both my where and my when. That which I call forth is bound by the tesser-act until my will sends the tesser-act along with that which I call forth to where and when I will it to go."
At this point you will know without a doubt that you are standing before a tesser-act, and you'll be ready to summon the spirit you've chosen.
Look at the sigil inside the tesser-act. Clear your mind of everything but the sigil. Know that this sigil is a like a magical beacon which will attract the spirit in the way that flame attracts a moth. Holding the sigil in your mind command the spirit to appear before you loudly and forcefully. You aren't asking it to appear you are commanding it to appear. You are a magician and your will cannot be denied!
The spirit will then manifest. You may see it, hear it or even smell it, but there will be no denying that there is something trapped inside your tesser-act. Command the spirit to take a form which will not offend you. Proceed to interrogate the spirit. Get it's name, and ask it a series of questions which verify that it will be of use to you. In this example, you might want to instruct the spirit to divine the answers to questions you already know the answer to, such as your middle name, a random number you've picked in advance. When you feel the you have verified that the spirit you've trapped has the skills you require. Command the spirit to do your bidding. When you're done send the spirit on it's way. This is done by orally commanding the tesser-act to take the spirit either back to where it came from, or if you've commanded the spirit to do something for you, command the tesser-act to take the spirit where ever it needs to go in order to do what you've commanded the spirit to do.
After this you'll want to banish the area again. Doing this after a ritual helps to ground you in ordinary reality. This is simply done by forcing yourself to laugh until the laughter becomes genuine and consumes you. This is also done to prevent lust of result. Lust of result occurs when you obsess over your magic working. This obsession short circuits your ritual and causes failure. Think of the old adage "a watched pot never boils". If at any time after the ritual but before the results manifest you feel your thoughts drifting towards anticipation of the result you should banish those thoughts with laughter, or with another unrelated task such as preparing a meal, or sex. Anything that moves your focus to mundane life.
Tesser-Action has allowed me to summon spirits and command them to carry out my will, to fuck up the consensus reality and enjoy all the fruits such endeavors afford the dedicated magician. One of the most interesting, and productive uses I've used tesser-action evocation for was for conjuring my past and future selves. The ability to get my childhood perspective on my magical endeavors has been an unbelievable way to keep the initial spark of wonder I had when I first started getting concrete results with magic. Consulting with my future selves has led to all sorts of ideas and innovations in my practice. It has also allowed me to choose who I want to be, and the best way to get there. I've used Tesser-action to manifest some amazingly beautiful experiences and some amazingly terrifying experiences right in my own home, and I've also used it to whisk me away to places of wonder and terror.
You've probably heard of astral travel or out of body experiences, where a person's mind or soul is said to separate from the body and travel other places nearly instantaneously. The tesser-act can be used to transport yourself to other places, dimensions, and times by invoking or drawing the tesser-act into yourself. This process requires a bit more work than the evocation, but it pays dividends in extremeness of experiences it will provide. These experiences will allow you to change yourself, and turn consensus reality on it's head. You'll need the Necker's Cube again, along with the two dimensional hypercube sigil. Additionally, you'll need the eight-rayed star known as the Chaos Sigil.
The Chaos Sigil is a representation of what chaos magicians refer to as chaos current. The chaos current can be thought of as an energy or a theme which influences consensus reality. The goal of the chaos current is to manifest a reality - a better reality, which will replace the current bullshit reality of the 21st century; a reality defined by self-directed self-realized magicians. Tesser-action is all about accomplishing this - tearing a hole in the fabric of Consensus Reality and building something better. Tesser-Action will allow you to travel into any possible reality, showing you things that you can take back with you and apply to this reality.
To start off, tape the three sigils on the wall - the Necker's Cube at the bottom, the hypercube over that, and the chaos sigil over the hypercube, forming a vertical line or pillar on your wall. They should all be placed at eye level and in such a way that you can see all three at once. Start jogging in place, focusing on your breathing until your mind is clear of everything, except the pattern of your breathing. Picking up the pace a little shift all your focus to the Necker's Cube. Once it's rotating smoothly through the fourth dimension, start jogging a little faster and shift all your focus to the hypercube. Focus on the hypercube until it becomes so vivid in your mind that it seems to vibrate or leap off the wall. Once this is done, go from jogging to running in place, and shift all your focus to the chaos sigil. Visualize the chaos current pouring through it, through the tesser-act, and into you. At this point you should be running at full pace. Focus on the pillar of the tesser-act. You'll start to see the tesser-act rotating in front of you. This image will alternate with the image of a pulsating eight rayed chaos star, creating an effect similar to a strobe light. Keep your focus on the tesser-act/chaos star, the images will begin to alternate so quickly that they begin to blur. As the running brings you to the point of exhaustion, you'll start to feel your surroundings blur. You're entering an intense state of gnosis designed to remove your conscious mind from your body. Don't fight it - this is what is called an out of body experience or astral projection. Let your mind slip out of your body and merge with the tesser-act. You'll want to make sure there's something soft for your body to fall on. Eventually, if you apply yourself to studying other methods of reaching deep prolonged states of gnosis, you'll be able to use this technology from the comfort of your favorite chair. Once you're in the tesser-act you can go anywhere, anywhen, you can travel inside of other people, or let the tesser-act choose a random destination for you.
These journeys will supply you with knowledge and perspectives you'd never even considered before. They will change you, they will allow you to decide who you will be. They will permanently change how you perceive time, space, and all of reality. Armed with all this you will be ready to stop letting reality happen to you, and start making your own reality. Besides all of that, they'll be some of the most intense and fun experiences you'll ever have. To give you an idea of how intense, and surprising these experiences can be, even to people who have some experience with astral travel, I thought I'd relate the story of my first trip using the tesser-act.
One of the reasons my first tesser-action travel experience stands out in my mind as one of the most intense is because I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into, and could never have prepared myself for the sheer intensity of this accidental Tesser-action jump. I had originally thought that the methods used to travel in the tesser-act would just produce visions of the things I wanted to explore. Excited to test the theory out, I closed the office early and went into the back office to give it try before I went home. I had no idea I'd be whisked away through space and time to witness the birth of a star. In fact it wasn't until the day after that I was able to make sense of what had actually happened. I started off doing all the things I've laid out for you. Then, as I neared total exhaustion, all of a sudden I was no longer envisioning the sigils, they were real three (five technically) dimensional objects in front of me. I went to look at the clock in the room in order to see how long it had taken me to reach this state. I then turned back and focused on the objects which were strobing at dizzying pace. What follows is the account of the experience as I wrote it the night it happened:
All of a sudden, I coughed and wretched as if I had to vomit due to severe nausea (like you get when you have a real bad case of the flu). I went over to the sink in the hallway that connects the back office to the front office leaned over preparing to vomit.
Then suddenly I wasn't there anymore. I was in outer space in a place that felt impossibly far away from my point of origin. I was watching a star. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. I opened my mouth...maybe to say something and I realized I couldn't breathe. There was no pressure in my lungs like there is when you hold your breath, nor did I feel like I was in danger from not being able to breathe. It was as if I had no need to breathe. Suddenly, I felt like I was shifting in a way which I can best describe as multi dimensional (more than the normal three dimensions) I thought maybe I was going to be deposited into space without the safety of the state I was in. I thought "that will kill me." Then I started to shift backwards and at and angle I can only describe as diagonal.
I felt myself falling on to a soft bed and then I felt almost as if I were falling asleep (at this point everything was black I had left the star behind). I felt like I was starting to dream and as soon as I did I thought "what the fuck I'm at work I can't sleep on the job," I kicked violently - the way your body jolts if you have that sudden falling sensation in dreams.
I snapped into "reality" my entire head hurt, especially the left side and my front teeth. I was now on the bathroom floor in the hallway connecting the front and back offices. The bathroom is about four feet from the sink I remember getting ready to puke into. I was extraordinarily disorientated and my glasses were missing. I got up and saw the top of the trash barrel was broken in pieces. I quickly deduced I had most likely hit my head on it, except that the barrel was still upright which seemed rather odd. I found my glasses underneath the bath mat. (The whole office area used to be a two room suite so the bathroom has a vanity and bathtub/shower.)
I went to pick up the broken pieces of trash barrel but I couldn't about half of it (it didn't shatter into tiny pieces -- there were two chunks of it that I could find which made up half of the lid). I looked everywhere...in the trash, in the bathtub behind the toilet, in the sink, under the sink, outside the bathroom - it was just gone.
The whole thing felt like at least one hour had elapsed, but when I looked at the clock less than a minute had passed since I had looked at the clock shortly before the intense nausea hit. I'd say either no time or less than 30 seconds elapsed.
These are the sort of experiences you will be able to have, and more over, it's just the tip of the iceberg. Tesser-Action, like every magic technology is a tool designed to create change in accordance with your will. Magic is the most liberating and effective tool available to people interested in taking charge of themselves, and of the world in which they live. People not unlike yourself, who understand how screwed up the world is right now, know it can and should be better, and who have a determination to change the world in their own way.
I've called magic a secret technology. The real secret behind it is that on it's own, the information is useless. You have to make the conscious decision to stop letting life happen to you. You have to decide to do something about all the things you think need to be changed. You need to put down the books at some point, and start practicing what you've read. The universe is a user friendly place. Despite all the programming that's been forced on you, telling you 'shit happens there's nothing you can do about,' there is an alternative. There exists now a group of people some working together, some working alone, many of them not knowing they're part of an occult guerilla force. These people are a sort of mutant race - they are magicians. They have discovered as you will, that the universe is all too happy to bend to the will of those brave enough to take an active role in their existence. You can be a part of this, you can decide what reality is, you can make yourself into everything you ever wanted to be. All you have to do to join this guerilla force is to declare yourself a magician, take what you learn and apply it every single day.
